Andermatt, Switzerland

Andermatt is a small town located in the heart of the Swiss Alps and famous for winter sports. It is situated in the Urseren Valley in the canton of Uri and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, including the famous peaks of the Gotthard Pass.

In recent years, Andermatt has undergone significant development for you to explore during winter sports. With the construction of new hotels, luxury apartments, and a state-of-the-art ski resort it has become very popular. This is still going on and you’ll feel that, with tourists coming from all over the place and prices being raised. Despite these changes, the town has managed to maintain its traditional charm and character, with picturesque streets lined with traditional Swiss chalets and historic buildings. And, of course, have all the ski pistes significantly improved! The area is enormous and one can easily spend 5-6 days exploring everything to the fullest. This is due to the fact that you can ski from Andermatt all the way to the next laying villages Sedrun and Disentis. This way, you’ll have a 3-in-1 explore trip!

The best restaurant in Natchen: Bergrestaurant NatschenArena

A bit of a track restaurant and therefore very good. Several possibilities, quick service, a TV with professional wintersports, and a nice quite atmosphere. Can recommend!
